On Saturday the 17 and Sunday 18 September 2016 everyone is invited to BLENDED; a multicultural mix of everything that The Hague’s neighborhoods Schilderswijk and Transvaal have to offer. The festival is free of entrance! There will be stages on the Oranjeplein (Schilderswijk) and Wijkpark Transvaal (Transvaal) with music and dance and amongst other performances. The performers vary from new local talents to well-known artists. BLENDED is a welcoming, artistic, musical, and creative space for ideas and stories of all ages and directions – based on mutual respect. There will be many other activities next to the stages, like cooking and tastings, story telling, exclusive tours through the area, fashion shows, and a festival market.
There is a close collaboration with various organizations in both neighborhoods: inhabitants as well as entrepreneurs. BLENDED is for everybody: inhabitants of Schilderswijk and Transvaal, city dwellers from other places in The Hague and visitors from other municipalities in the vicinity.
Four musical highlights of BLENDED are:
